The issue

Gambling promotions have changed the way kids see sport.

The TV ads, social media, in-stadium signage and online offers are everywhere and they make it seem like betting on sport is normal and without risk, and that everybody does it.

But gambling is an inherently risky activity that can lead to a range of negative consequences. It’s important, therefore, that young people are aware of the facts and can think critically about them.

Sport and gambling don’t have to go together. We encourage players and fans alike to love the game, not the odds.
